Freshly isolated human T cells, B cells, monocytes, and DC do not express B7-H4 on cell surface in FACS analysis. In contrast, B7-H4 expression can be induced on T cells, B cells, monocytes, and DC after in vitro stimulation
B7H4 inhibits T-cell response.
