the expression of ALT2 (GPT2) was significantly increased in induced CAFs (Figure 4C), suggesting that the slight elevation of alpha-KG is likely through the glutamate pathway by feedback upregulation of ALT2 in CAFs and fibroblasts with IDH3?? knockdown.
ALT2 is upregulated downstream of TGFB and PDGF.
